2024 EXAMINATION ENROLMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY  AND UNDERSTAND BEFORE SIGNING

The following are the Terms & Conditions for ZGS/GZH Examinations

 

  1. Bookings
    1. A NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee of USD10 per student MUST BE PAID UPON REGISTRATION FOR ALL EXTERNAL STUDENTS, together with the examination fee.
    2. Examination bookings are ONLY confirmed upon registering on the registration portal via our website (goethahare.org). THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE.
    3. Please note that students can ONLY PAY and BOOK for examinations ONLY when dates are made AVAILABLE on our website. FAILURE to adhere to this will result in forfeiture of payment, and NO REFUND will be made.
    4. Failure to communicate any changes affecting the student within 2 weeks from the date of booking will result in the immediate cancellation of the registration. THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE.
    5. A confirmed registration and examination (fee) is NOT TRANSFERABLE to another person/candidate or another exam date.
    6. Each candidate MUST submit a national ID number or valid passport number upon registration and bring the respective document on the day of the exam.

 

  1. Terms of Payment/Fees
    1. All payments are to be made as a bank deposit/transfer into our NOSTRO account. (Please see details on the last page)
    2. There will be NO REFUNDS on overpayments.
    3. Students are encouraged to pay and book only when they are ready to write and not before.
    4. If payment is made before dates are available on the website, please note that there will be no refund and no change of examination date permitted.
    5. Fees for exams
      1. Registration and booking fees will be paid ALL at once.
      2. Proof of payment (POP) must be uploaded on the website when booking for the exam. The POP should be less than 14 days from the date of deposit. After 14 days, the deposit becomes
      3. A1 and A2 total exam fee is 170 USD for externals, as shown below:

Goethe-Zertifikat B1 and B2

*NB If a B1 or B2 candidate sits for 1 module, the payment is USD 100 plus a booking fee of USD 10. Sitting for 2 modules or more will require a full exam fee of USD 210.

 

  1. Examination cancellations and refunds
  1. NO REFUNDS
  2. Cancellation PRIOR to the start of an exam
    1. Requests may be submitted by email only when accompanied by a valid doctor’s report. If you have any questions or concerns about our cancellation policy, please contact us at info@goetheharare.org andpr@goetheharare.org
    2. If one cannot write due to illness, a doctor’s note must be provided 24 hours before the exam date. In that case, another doctor’s note will be required to certify that one is now fit to write the missed exam.
  3. Cancellation AFTER the set deadline
    1. There will be NO REFUNDS if cancellation is made after the above-specified deadlines. In this case, the candidates will have to RE-BOOK and RE-PAY for a new exam date.
    2. LATECOMERS to the exam will receive NO REFUND and must book and pay for the next available date. All Exams start at 9 a.m., but candidates should be at ZGS/GZH by 8 a.m.
  4. Cancellation of Exam by the ZGS/GZH
    1. The ZGS/GZH reserves the right to CHANGE exam timetables or exam dates, POSTPONE or CANCEL any exam initially offered based on insufficient demand or other reasonable grounds.
    2. If the ZGS/GZH cancels the exam, the Candidate/s will be offered an alternative date.

 

  1. Requirements on Exam Date
  1. Candidates MUST arrive at 08:00 a.m. for the exam’s commencement unless advised otherwise by ZGS/ GZH in writing.
  2. Candidates MUST provide their IDs or valid Passports for verification. Failure to produce either of these will result in denial of entry into the exam room, and in such a case, the candidate MUST book and RE-PAY for the next available exam date.
  3. Candidates MUST provide a signed ZGS/GZH examination Indemnity form and the COVID-19 waiver Form given to them on arrival.
  4. Candidates must have with them a MASK, PERSONAL SANITISER and observe SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL TIMES.

 

  1. Exam Results
  2. The Goethe-Zertifikat A1, A2, B1, and B2 results will be available within 10 working days unless otherwise advised. Please note that NO INQUIRIES concerning results will be entertained, and NO EXCEPTIONS will be made for earlier releases.
  3. Results will NOT be shared online, via email, WhatsApp, or over the

 

  1. Collection of Results
  2. ZGS/GZH is not obliged to send results. Students should collect and sign for their results THEMSELVES or a REPRESENTATIVE authorised in writing.
  3. Students sending a representative should send a message to us via email or on our WhatsApp platform indicating the representative’s full name, ID number, and the date of the exam.
  4. ZGS/GZH will not be liable for any damage or losses resulting from results collected by representatives. The representatives must produce their ID upon collecting the results.

 

  1. Reprints of Certificates
  2. Reprints will ONLY be issued without a fee if ZGS/GZH is RESPONSIBLE for the mistake.
  3. Students should note that once their certificates are collected and signed without verification of their information, they will be charged an additional USD 25 for a reprint.
  4. Lost certificates will attract a payment of USD 25 for a replacement certificate.

 

  1. General
  2. Classes and Examinations take place at the ZGS/GZH, 51 Lawson Avenue, Milton Park, Harare, unless the ZGS/GZH advises otherwise.
  3. The Candidate shall observe the security regulations and House Rules (available in the reception area) of the ZGS/GZH and any other location where the exams are offered.
  4. Should any of the Candidate’s details provided change, the Candidate shall forthwith and WITHOUT DELAY notify the ZGS/GZH thereof IN WRITING.
  5. In the event the ZGS/GZH instructs attorneys regarding any candidate’s breach of the conditions of this agreement, the Candidate shall pay all the costs on the scale between the Attorney and own Client, including any costs incidental to such action instituted against the Candidate.
  6. The ZGS/GZH reserves its right to change the terms and conditions whenever necessary and inform the Candidate in writing.

  4. Addendum to Terms and Conditions of the Examination Administration: Exam Candidates with Special Needs (“Ergänzung zu den Durchführungsbestimmungen: Prüfungsteilnehmende mit spezifischem Bedarf”).
