The first day of the open week (Monday 30th November 2020) will be hosting a German class for beginners, thus German A1 level. This will be a Simulation of a classroom setup. The class will be hosted by Wilhelm Bonarjee, one of our prominent German teachers.
Wilhelm Bonarjee
He is a passionate lecturer, teacher, and trainer. Since 2016 he has been working as a ZGS/GZH teacher and examiner at the Goethe Zentrum Harare/ Zimbabwe German Society. Wilhelm studied Sociology in Bamberg and also studied communication science. In his spare time, he enjoys playing snooker, his guitar and enjoys classic films and fine Jazz.
The theme of the day will be Hobby’s und Freizeit which translates to hobbies and free time. Muchishona tinoti, “Mutambo neNguva yekutandara,” noma isiNdebele,” Imidlalo lesikhati sokudlala.” In Zimbabwe in their spare time, people are accustomed to different hobbies all depending on what they like to so in a sense some prefer going out to party, some enjoy being out in nature itself and some prefer just to be closed up in their own space make a cup of tea or coffee and peruse through a novel whereas some in Germany like to ins Kino, Theater Oder Konzert gehen-, fahrrad fahren, zu festivals gehen und beer trinken. More of these activities will be showcased during the simulation of the online class.
This will be an online class of four students and the teacher and it will be held via the zoom platform. The main point of this class is for you to have the experience of how we carry our online class and also to show you how the tutor interacts with the students giving attention to all students to ensure that the needs of each student are catered for.
You can also share your hobbies or share with us what you normally do when you kick back during your free time. If you are quite curious about classroom setup then this definitely will be the day to make a date with the Zimbabwe German Society.
